The Asylum Project

​

The Asylum Project provides legal representation to asylum-seekers fleeing persecution in their homeland and currently living in the greater Houston area.  Asylum-seekers in this program receive legal representation to process the asylum paperwork, guidance on presenting their story and legal representation during court hearings.

 

Additionally, clients enrolled in The Asylum Project will receive help with practical needs such as finding housing, registering children for school, enrolling in English language classes and accessing various social service and community programs.

 

This project is generously funded by the United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR).
