Houston Immigration Legal Services Collaborative

HILSC is a collaborative of providers who serve and advocate on behalf of immigrants in Houston.  Information on local events, how to volunteer, and become engaged with the local immigrant community can be found on HILSC’s website.

United States Citizenship and Immigration Services

USCIS is the federal agency that oversees lawful immigration to the United States.  Their website provides information on checking case status and provides resources for individuals who would like to naturalize.

 
Executive Office for Immigration Review

EOIR oversees detained and non-detained removal proceedings (immigration court) in the United States.More information can be found on their website.

 
National Domestic Violence Hotline

The National Domestic Violence Hotline is a 24-hour confidential service for survivors, victims and those affected by domestic violence, intimate partner violence and relationship abuse. Their website can not be traced if internet activity is monitored.

 
Immigrant Rights Hotline

The Immigrant Rights Hotline is a source of timely and accurate information about changing immigration policies, a place to report discrimination and racial profiling, and a source for referrals to legal services providers and immigrant rights organizers.  Callers can get assistance Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm (except holidays). The Bridge Over Troubled Waters

The Bridge provides services such as case management, crisis intervention, a 24 hour hotline, domestic violence and sexual assault prevention presentations, emergency shelter and transitional living to those in Harris County. More information can be found on their website.
