Daniela Betancourt

Development Associate

Daniela received her bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Harvard University, writing her senior thesis on perspectives of belonging and naturalization from Mexican immigrants in the Houston area.

 

She has led and interned for several educational and public service initiatives, including JFAI in 2019. Daniela spent one year organizing student programs and faculty projects for the Harvard Brazil Office in São Paulo and two years advising Latin American students and families in applying to U.S. universities. 

 

Born and raised in East Texas, Daniela is a proud daughter of immigrant parents from Mexico and a first-generation, low-income college graduate. She is fluent in Spanish and Portuguese and spends her evenings dancing and trying new hobbies.
