“I’m so grateful for the support JFAI offers to me and the whole community,” John said.
When John came across JFAI on social media, he was searching for answers and hope. A longtime resident from Cameroon, he was ready to apply for U.S. citizenship but felt overwhelmed by the complex process. “I didn’t know what documents were needed or how to complete them correctly,” he recalled. That’s when JFAI stepped in.
Through JFAI’s legal clinic in Houston, John received free assistance with his naturalization application. The team helped him move his application forward with confidence. “I’m so grateful for the support JFAI offers to me and the whole community,” he said.
Becoming a U.S. citizen was more than a personal victory. It opened the door to new possibilities for his family. With citizenship, he now has the chance to help bring loved ones closer and share the life he’s worked so hard to build.
He believes this kind of legal support transforms communities, especially for those with limited resources. The impact, he said, goes far beyond paperwork, it restores dignity and provides brighter futures.
“JFAI’s dedication to advocating for immigrants is truly inspiring,” John added. “Their work is deeply appreciated.”
He encourages others to seek help from JFAI, advising, “Be patient, follow the rules, and don’t give up.”
