Immigrants Are at Risk: Help JFAI Raise $500,000
Dear Friends and Supporters,
When someone turns to Justice for all Immigrants (JFAI), they are often placing their family’s future in our hands. We take that trust seriously. Today, I am asking for your help to protect our ability to keep serving them.
JFAI has lost nearly half the funding supporting critical programs, including legal services for unaccompanied children and immigrants facing deportation. Without this funding, children could face deportation alone, and families could lose the legal help they need to fight to stay together.
Our mission is to make high-quality immigration legal services accessible to people who could otherwise struggle to obtain them. Fulfilling that mission requires attorneys who have the time and resources to understand each client’s circumstances and stay involved through lengthy proceedings. A funding gap of this size puts that work at risk, even as hearings and filing deadlines continue.
In this newsletter, Daniel describes what JFAI’s support meant during detention: “They have never left me alone and have always supported me.” His words reflect the trust built through continued representation. They also remind us of what our clients stand to lose when legal services become unavailable.
